The film was introduced by poet John Siddique. &#8220;The consequences of independence and the partition of India and Pakistan have resonated through the generations since 1947. A Thin Wall builds an oral history through interviews on both sides of the Pakistani-Indian border. The narrative is told in\u00a0two different voices \u2013 one Pakistani and one Indian, both second generation citizens of their respective countries, whose families were affected by Partition. A Thin Wall is written and directed by Mara Ahmed and co-produced by Surbhi Dewan. Both filmmakers are descendants of families torn apart by Partition. The film features original animation, music and literary writing and weaves together poetic, personal and political stories to convey a universal ache.
